Kealan Shilling was born on the North Shore of Boston, and grew up in a small town called Marblehead. Chasing dreams of snow, surf and a rambling roadside Kerouac inspired life; at age 18 he hit the road...
Quickly Kealan began to realize the importance of carrying a camera, documenting his travels, and the amazing people he came in contact with.
"I would have the same roll of film in my camera for sometimes months at a time, always taking snaps along the way. These days, I still shoot mostly film, as I feel it keeps me closer to the true process of being a photographer start to finish. To me, holding a tangible negative as the end result is irreplaceable. Recently I've found my photography more directed than in the past, but with the same aim in mind: to capture moments of purity and tell stories through my work."
Kealan currently resides between Salt Lake City and L.A.
