This past May COMUNE took a trip to Asia. We took eight flights, four buses, one German engineered speed train and a bunch of taxis. In short, the trip consisted of a pleasant visit with our Distribution team in Toyko, a nice Korean BBQ lunch with some friends in Seoul and a detailed tour of the south of Chiner. Like all trips, I am left with a million memories and I’m grateful to be able to share some of these moments with you.
Enjoy Asia from our perspective.

Midweek mayhem ensued last Wednesday night as Drop City contributor, Plague Vendor, powered through an hour long set of raw power. Only two songs in and clothes were going missing. Onlookers glued to singer Brandon Blaine’s iggy-esque moves, and the crooning howl of his voice.
Smokers from deep in the cheap seats even came inside to get a glimpse of what is sure to turn into an “I saw them when” situation.

Last Saturday night, riders, builders, and chopper enthusiasts gathered at Evil Spirit Engineering in Burbank CA, to celebrate the life of Ryan Grossman. Late last month, Ryan was hit by a Corvette while riding his motorcycle. Luckily, Ryan escaped with only a broken leg. Sadly, the broken leg needed surgery and Ryan did not have medical insurance.
Friends from near and far quickly rallied together to create an event to help raise money for Ryan’s medical bills.
Paired with the release of Dice Magazine’s 43rd issue, sponsors were established, bands were booked, and a location was set. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes were donated for a raffle, including clothes from COMUNE, and of course, there was FREE BEER!
True to form, we all met at the Chun House (Sean Duggan’s garage) to pre game the ride to Burbank. After a few beers and some fine-tuning on the 1929 JD, we were ready for the long night ahead.

Check out two of COMUNE’s Drop City Contributors Alexis Gross and Alana Paterson in this month’s Color Magazine.
Alexis met up with pro skater Jereme Rogers for an interview at the Affinia Hotel in Midtown N.Y. and quite an interview she got…really, it’s a must read. It’s raw, grungy and full of adventure to say the least. Alana Paterson captured some great photos of Filthmode Motorcycle Club – a fellowship of dirty dudes traveling to remote locations to ride their Yamaha XT 500s. Nice job ladies!
